Dearest friends and ministry partners:

     Greetings of peace to you all.  How are things with you?  I pray that God's grace will overflow towards you,  that you will all be enriched in every way.

     Our Mangyan students had settled in smoothly for the new school year.  We have 49 students,  6 in college and the rest are all in high school.  They started working/studying hard at the start of the school year.  We are happy to see them actively participating in our bible studies and we assume they do the same in their classes.  We are blessed to see progress in their lives.  One girl who graduated last April from college is now employed and is teaching small/elementary kids in their village school;  she's earning and is able to help her family. The rest of the students who witnessed and knew her story, admittedly said they were encouraged and would want to follow her footsteps.  We always tell them to look to our Lord as their guide and model;  they may be inspired by the hard work of their fellow students, but they should work/study hard also so that their dreams would become a reality.

      July is a happy month for our family.  Danny and myself celebrated our birthdays one week apart...so we praise and thank God for giving us another year celebrating our birthdays.  But July is also the onset of our typhoon season here, it has been raining hard on/off the last two weeks; in fact classes were suspended last Monday as rivers were swollen and about 2 bridges were not passable both by foot and by vehicles.  Praise God the flood subsided quickly.  Not so with the rest of the province...Occidental Mindoro which is at the other side of the island is still like a water world,  and so are many other places in northern Luzon.  So really,  we praise and thank God for protecting us thru each storm and floods we've had to battle.
We've had an opportunity to attend a conference with YWAM (Youth With A Mission)  which is going to be held in Thailand on 1 thru 8 Sept 2018.  We really wanted to go and be encouraged and hear from God thru the seminars;  but our passports were expired and was submerged from the flood we had in 2015, and we were trying to renew it,  but it'll take longer to process. Please be praying with us for our passports and all the process we had to go thru to be able to renew it.  Thank you!

     Danny is doing really well and is keen on going to that conference.  I was a bit apprehensive in the beginning,  but later on after prayer I decided to be excited with him. But that passport issue came and so we just lift everything up to our Father...we will be there if God wanted us there.

     Thank you for all your prayers for us. God has heard your prayers and it sustain us and helped us in our times of need.  May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust him,  so that you will overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.. .thank you!

Love & prayers;
Danny & Lily
