Helping people Find, Follow and Know Jesus

From Rev Enosa Auva'a's Desk 4th November 2022

Welcome, and greetings church family,

Today's pastoral message is to encourage you to be in touch with God through His Word. We read in Proverbs 4:20-22 the Word of God is a medicine to our soul "for they are life to those who find them and health to one's whole body." Psalm 19:7-8 speaks of the Word as "The law of the Lord that is perfect, refreshing to the soul and gives joy to the heart" and from Psalm 91 "1. whoever dwells in the shelter of the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust."

Here are some of my resting places in the Word that I have been blessed and encouraged with in my personal walk with the Lord. My prayer is as you read them that you may also be encouraged and focused on the Lord Jesus and “run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2. fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith”.As you go about your day may you “not grow weary and lose heart”.

Psalm 1:1

1. Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, 2. but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. 3. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.

Psalm 27:1

1. The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?
