Kia ora koutou, and warm greetings and Talofa lava!
A big thank you to those who turned up on Tuesday evening this week for our first church prayer and vision gathering, with around 30 people coming together to pray, listen, seek, and hear what the Lord is saying to us as a church family.
Together we reflected on God’s vision, His mission, and His calling for our church — particularly in relation to our immediate neighbours, the university community, our outreach ministries, and the next steps ahead. We also shared about our community lunch ministry, which serves many who are homeless and vulnerable, and considered how we can continue to grow together in discipleship and faith.
The Bible tells us that Jesus commanded His disciples to return to Jerusalem and wait for the Holy Spirit. In obedience, “they all joined together constantly in prayer.” Then, at Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came upon them with power and dwelt within them, equipping them to follow God’s call and mission.
With further prayer gatherings planned, I warmly encourage you to come and join us as we continue to seek God’s plans and direction for our church going forward.
